Bill Hughes

Bill Hughes (Bendigo): Bill has been passionate about gliding for many years, he has mentored club members at Bendigo in the fine art of glider maintenance and repair, assisting them in attaining formal maintenance and repair ratings.  

Bill has also assisted with many maintenance and repair courses run by the VSA & GFA over the years at Benalla and Bacchus Marsh, with his easy going and approachable personality he makes people at ease and ready to learn.   Bill is always generous with his time and ready to spend a while listening and giving advice to anyone who asks.  

Due to his love of aircraft and gliders in particular he will readily take on a project to get an aircraft back into the air if it is in need of a little TLC, he is known and loved by everyone in gliding “a living treasure”.
